If you see a yellow tablet or packet on your travels though Mississauga parks and wooden areas, don’t be alarmed.

The packets are being placed around the city and contain a rabies vaccine.

The vaccine is meant for wildlife to combat the spread of rabies in animals such as racoons and skunks.

According to the City of Mississauga, the tablets pose no threat to humans and pets.

Wildlife experts say if you encounter one of these packets just leave it alone and let local wildlife have a bite.
