From beginners to seasoned pros, players can swing their rackets all year round at the new indoor Rosalea Park Tennis Facility in Brampton.

The City of Brampton officially cut the ribbon on Monday for the new recreation facility, which includes three new asphalt acrylic tennis courts and a covered dome so players can practice during the winter months.

The city says the new courts are good for enthusiasts of all skill levels and will help connect more Brampton residents to the sport through youth programs.

Premier Racquet Clubs will run lessons on behalf of the city for kids, adults and seniors, court bookings for drop-in play, group lessons, high-performance programs and tournaments.

“Amenities like this play a vital role in fostering a love for tennis, building strong communities, and providing pathways for young athletes to excel,” said Karl Hale, CEO of Premier Racquet Clubs. “We look forward to seeing Brampton’s tennis community flourish as a result of this exciting addition.”

The city put $6.8 million into the new facility, which adds to the more than 60 outdoor tennis courts in Brampton. Construction of the facility led to a headache for some residents upset with tree removal.

You can register for indoor tennis programs with lessons set to start in January 2025, and court times can be booked now through Premier Racquet Clubs.
