While many of us aren’t used to celebrating the World Cup this time of year, the screenings at Celebration Square in Mississauga are still something the community can look forward to.

Although a little colder, the community can dress for the weather and head to Celebration Square to watch select games from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 on the big screen from Nov. 20 to Dec. 18.

The first game streaming at Celebration Square will be the tournament opener between the host Qatar and Ecuador on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 11:00 a.m.

According to the City of Mississauga, they will be showing all of the Canada games on the Square.

“Get ready to cheer for Alphonso Davies, Stephen Eustáquio, Milan Borjan and the rest of the team,” reads the City of Mississauga’s website.

All important updates will be posted to their social media accounts including the screening schedule for the matches between Nov. 28 and Dec. 1 which will be determined by user polls on Instagram.

The final will be screened on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 10:00 a.m.

The community is reminded that matches and schedules are subject to change and that public viewings will be free and accessible to all.
