Wood-fired pizza joint from western Canada opens location in Mississauga

A new pizza place promising fast pies made your way has opened in Mississauga.
Fast Fired By Carbone, which started in Manitoba, has opened a location at 6111 Erin Mills Parkway, Unit 2, Mississauga.
The wood-fired pizza place works on a build-your-own pie model — kind of like Kramer’s idea on Seinfeld but patrons don’t actually make the pizza, just order it their way.
“We’re giving you free rein to design your dream pizza,” Fast Fired says on its website. “Whether your motto is ‘go wild or go home’ or ‘keep this simple stupid’ were handing over creative control.”
But there are also traditional choices on the menu including classics such as the Margherita, pepperoni, or Hawaiian.
More interesting pizzas include the Butter Chicken Pizza and Modern Fiesta.
There are vegan and gluten-free options as well.
The pizza dough is hand-rolled and oven-fired in Italian style. And, of course, as the name suggests they make the pizza fast, “lightning fast.”
They also have environmentally friendly and sustainable practices building relationships with local growers and producers.
If you are not in the mood for pizza, there are wraps, salads, pastas and paninis on the menu as well.
For dessert, there is the Nutella pizza, and three types of cheesecakes.
The Mississauga location opened on June 9.
