Woman robbed at Hamilton bank

The public’s assistance is being required in helping to identify and provide information on a man who allegedly robbed a woman outside a Hamilton bank on Canada Day.

The female victim was making a cash deposit at the Royal Bank of Canada located at 752 Upper James Street, near Mohawk Road West, around 1:36 p.m. on July 1 when she was robbed by a man.

The man is described as a light-skinned male, between 30- and 45-years-old, with short dark hair. He had on a black bucket hat and was wearing a green jacket with black pants and white running shoes.

He also had a black mask on.

“Your cooperation and assistance are greatly appreciated as we work to piece together the events surrounding this date and time,” said Hamilton Police. “We thank you for your continued support in keeping our community safe. Public cooperation is invaluable in achieving this goal.”
