A woman who made headlines last month after she allegedly stowed away on a flight to Paris was caught again, but this time on a bus to Canada.
A U.S. resident originally from Russia, Svetlana Dali, 57, is accused of hiding in plane bathrooms to avoid detection on a Delta flight from New York to Paris, multiple news agencies reported. Dali reportedly snuck on board the flight at John F. Kennedy Airport bound for Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris on Nov. 26.
She was charged with obtaining transportation on an aircraft without consent or permission and sent back to New York.
Dali is now accused of attempting to flee the U.S. for Canada on Monday.
Deemed a flight risk, Dali was ordered to stay in Philadelphia and submit to a curfew. She had an ankle monitor but she allegedly cut it off, made her way to upstate New York, where she got on a Greyhound bus toward the Canadian border, news outlets reported.
It appears she may have been heading to Niagara Falls, Ontario but she was arrested in Buffalo, New York on Monday, according to several news reports.
Dali managed to get on the flight to Paris by using a special lane for airline employees to get through security. She got on the flight as Delta agents were busy helping passengers board, USA Today reported.
French authorities met her at the gate at the airport in Paris early on Nov. 27. She was sent back to the U.S. and charged in early December.
After this second arrest, she was due to appear in court on Tuesday afternoon.
