Peel Regional Police have charged a Brampton man with criminal code offences while having recurring contact with Peel Paramedics.
Between Apr. 2022 and Feb. 2023, police say it is alleged that the suspect in question had demonstrated an increased fixation toward female first responders.
Police believe the 34-year-old man committed a series of acts or gestures, including unwanted physical touching and offensive sexual comments to the victims while paramedics were providing medical-related care.
Konstantin Golov of Brampton, was charged with several offences including two counts of sexual assault, two counts of mischief and uttering threats.
Deputy Chief Marc Andrews commented how the troubling series of events and pattern of behaviour has caused a great concern for the members of Peel Paramedic Services and the PRP.
“Those providing critical care to our community should feel safe at all times. This most recent arrest will help assure our first responder partners, and our community, that activities and behaviour such as this will not be tolerated,” Andrews said.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims, including but not limited to female paramedics. Anyone with any information is asked to contact investigators at 905-453-2121, extension 1133.
