The search is still on for a vulnerable and possibly at-risk young man who went missing from Winnipeg nearly a month ago and was spotted in Brampton last week.
The OPP first said 22-year-old Avery was last seen in Caledon on Sept. 25 in the area of Kennedy Road and Dougall Avenue in Caledon. The missing 22-year-old has since been spotted in Brampton.
Few details were initially available but police have since said Avery is “vulnerable” and disappeared nearly a month ago in Manitoba.
Avery was first reported in Winnipeg when he went missing after leaving his residence on Sept. 9. Despite having no ties to Brampton, Caledon or the Greater Toronto Area, investigators say Avery made his way to Ontario.
The 22-year-old from Winnipeg was last seen near the Mount Pleasant Go Station on Sept. 27.
Both Avery’s family and police say they are concerned for his well-being and are asking for help locating him from anyone who may have information on his whereabouts.
The missing 22-year-old is described as standing around 5’8″ and weighing 180 pounds with a medium build.
When Avery was seen in Caledon he was wearing blue jeans and a black shirt with a white collar. Avery was also carrying a black backpack and was carrying another black bag and a black garbage bag.
In Brampton, he was seen wearing a black long-sleeve T-shirt with a white arm band and carrying a black backpack.
Police have released photos of Avery and are asking anyone with information on his disappearance to contact investigators.
