Rio-Can has revealed its vision and plans for the new Shoppers World, which includes shopping, office buildings, apartments, townhouses, a community library and an expansion to Kaneff Park.

The site will include approximately 5,000 units, which will include a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and townhouse units. The building will range from three to 28 storeys high.

Rio-Can plans to increase existing shopping mall and store space to roughly 80,216 square metres, which will be used as commercial space for both retail and office spaces.

Residents and visitors will be able to walk around and use their bicycles throughout various private walkways as well as public spaces.

There will also be new community centres, which will include a potential new Brampton Library branch.

Almost all parking will be moved underground and the Brampton Gateway Terminal will remain while the Hurontario LRT begins construction.

Two north-south and two east-west public roads will go through the site and join with several other laneways and private roads.
