The OPP has charged a Brampton man (Left) with assault following an incident at Blue Mountain Resort caught on video seen here.

Warning: This story contains a video which includes profanity that may be offensive to some viewers.

Viral video of a patron losing his temper and threatening a restaurant worker after walking out on a $350 bill at an Ontario resort has led to charges for a man from Brampton, police say.

The video which has been viewed over 1.7 million times on social media was captured on Sept. 15 at the Blue Mountain Resort just west of Collingwood, the OPP says.

A couple with a young child allegedly walked out on a $350 tab and the man became combative with staff when confronted, according to police and footage shared online.

A man and a woman with a child in a stroller can be seen in the video with the man threatening a restaurant employee while someone films the profanity-laden outburst.

“I’ll knock you the (expletive deleted) out. You don’t know me,” the man can be heard saying to a restaurant employee in the video. “You don’t know me, and you don’t know what I can do. Get the (expletive deleted) away from me.”

The man then backs away before moving toward the employee again, uttering more insults.

Popular social media sleuth @TizzyEnt posted the video to social media asking for viewers to help track down the man, and police say video footage helped investigators identify the people in the video.

While the bill was eventually paid in full, police say the incident has led to the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect from Brampton who was charged with assault and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.

The accused is scheduled to make a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on Oct. 24.

Police have not released the name of the accused, however, a follow-up video posted on social media identified the couple as “Will” and “Kristina.”
