A video posted online shows the moment a transit bus smashed through multiple backyards in Brampton this week.
Peel Regional Police said emergency crews responded to the scene in the area of Bovaird Drive and Edenbrook Trail at around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The bus didn’t have any passengers onboard and the driver was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
A video on Tumblr appears to show the moment the crash happened:
Photos posted on Reddit show the aftermath, with damage to multiple backyards. Fences and even a tree are seen knocked down.
“Initially I put it off as thunder while I was still in bed, but upon closer inspection I noticed firefighters and cops flood the area,” the Reddit user wrote.
“It literally crashed through multiple large trees and fences and rammed our deck and others’ fences.”
Police said the cause is under investigation and those involved are fully cooperating.
The City of Brampton told INsauga.com that Brampton Transit is “working closely” with Peel police for the investigation.
