Brampton’s Michael Cera is getting the band back together as the all-star cast of “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” has reunited for a new series coming to Netflix.

The new series titled “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” is based on the graphic novels by Bryan Lee O’Malley which also served as the source material for the feature-length 2010 romantic-action-comedy, starring Cera as the titular Scott Pilgrim as he battles the exes of his new crush.

The entire cast from the movie reprise their roles in the new cartoon, including Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Cera’s love interest Ramona Flowers, Captain America and Avengers star Chris Evans, and A-listers like Anna Kendrick, Aubrey Plaza, and Jason Schwartzman to name a few.

Nextflix has out a new trailer for the series which will premiere in November.

Set in Toronto, the series follows Pilgrim’s adventures “in getting and keeping jobs, avoiding being kicked out of his apartment, and surviving encounters with the seven evil exes of the new girl in town on whom he has a crush.”

The film and the series are based on the graphic novels by Canadian writer-illustrator Bryan Lee O’Malley, and Edgar Wright, who directed the original film is leading the new show.

And while the film performed poorly at the box office and failed to recoup its budget of $85 million, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was a hit with fans and gained a cult following, even getting a re-release for its 10th anniversary in 2021.

“Scott Pilgrim Takes Off” premiers Nov. 17 on Netflix.
