VIDEO: Jewelry store robbed in broad daylight in Brampton

A video posted online appears to show a jewelry store being robbed in broad daylight in Brampton.

The video shows individuals dressed in dark clothing entering through smashed windows at Karolbagh Jewellers, which is located at Torbram Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard.

Someone can be heard on the phone with 911 as the robbery unfolds.

The suspects then appear to jump out of one of the smashed windows and flee the scene.

Peel Regional Police spokesperson Richard Chin confirmed to INsauga.com that officers responded to the robbery at around 1:45 p.m. Friday.

“Several suspects smashed their way into the store and subsequently fled the area with an underdetermined amount of property,” Chin said.

“There did not appear to be any reports of any physical injuries to the store staff who were present.”

An investigation is ongoing by Peel’s central robbery bureau.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the robbery was asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
