UPDATE: Police say two northbound lanes have re-opened while the Hwy 410 northbound ramps from Queen St. remain closed.
An air ambulance has been called in after a roll-over collision involving a tractor-trailer has closed all northbound lanes of a busy Brampton highway.
The crash happened around 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday (June 14), according to 511 Ontario on Highway 410 at the northbound on-ramp at Queen St. The OPP says it was a single-vehicle crash.
Peel Paramedics confirmed a tractor-trailer rolled over in the crash, and Ornge Air Ambulance says one person was rushed to a Toronto hospital from the scene by helicopter.
A spokesperson for the OPP confirmed that the patient was an adult male and that the tractor-trailer was carrying a load at the time of the rollover.
Video obtained by Insauga.com shows the helicopter taking off with emergency crews on the scene.
Drivers can expect delays as emergency crews and police are on the scene and should avoid the area or find alternate routes if possible.
The OPP says clean-up from the crash is expected to last into the afternoon but crews are working to clear the scene and re-open all lanes before rush hour.
