VIDEO: Fire at Walmart at Square One breaks out in Mississauga

Customers were evacuated after a fire broke out inside the Walmart at Square One Shopping Centre.

Fire crews were called to the Walmart around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services told INsauga.com.

The store was evacuated as the building filled with smoke, according to a post on Reddit.

“It was full of smoke inside couldn’t see a thing,” the poster said.

A small fire was extinguished and crews worked to clear the smoke from the building, Mississauga Fire said. One fire crew remained on scene until about 1:30 a.m.

There were no reports of injuries.

The Mississauga Fire spokesperson didn’t know the cause of the fire.

Walmart could not be reached for comment.
