Peel Regional Police have released security footage of a violent carjacking in Brampton from May (2023), with the intent to locate the bandit who is known to aggressively flee the scene after getting behind the wheel and taking luxury vehicles up for sale for a test drive.

The culprit’s name is Calvin Peacock (39) and he is a dangerous and wanted man by the police.

Investigators have recently uploaded a video to YouTube from a vicious car theft involving Peacock, that occurred on May 15 near the Mayfield area in the town of Caledon.

The first five seconds of the clip shows a parking lot with the driver (Peacock) closing the door as one man in a red t-shirt attempts to get inside the car from the front passenger side, while another man in a black hoodie opens the back left door of the vehicle.

The black vehicle is seen swinging into reverse and quickly hits the front side of a white parked car.

The man who was attempting to get into the backseat of the car is flung backward and then falls to the pavement.  He rolls back up onto his feet and walks up to the driver’s window where he punches the glass.

Subsequently, the man who was attempting get inside the car through the front passenger side, stands in front of the vehicle, as he holds out his hand trying to signal the driver to stop.

Peacock then shifts the gear into drive and strikes the man, who’s body lands on the hood of the vehicle on impact before falling over to the right side of the car.

Peacock turns the vehicle to face the exit, as the man in the hoodie punches the driver’s window several more times before the man in the red t-shirt joins him.

The window of the driver’s side cracks, but the two men fail to stop Peacock, as he speeds away from the parking lot without stopping at the stop sign.

For anyone viewing the clip of the carjacking – it is a rough 29 seconds to digest.

Police say, Peacock is known to arrange test drives for high-end vehicles listed for sale online before stealing the vehicle and has “driven stolen vehicles in an aggressive manner towards victims showing no concern for public safety.”

Investigators confirm Peacock is in hiding, with no fixed address and is known to operate in the Region of Peel and in other jurisdictions throughout the province.

Police are urging anyone who may know the whereabouts of Calvin Peacock to contact investigators and warn residents to not approach the criminal.
