Sarah Badshaw, 18, has been charged in multiple auto thefts in Ontario, including a Mississauga carjacking caught on camera.

The Brampton woman accused of running over a man while stealing his Porches in a viral video has been hit with more charges related to auto theft in Toronto.

Sarah Badshaw, 18, of Brampton turned herself into Peel Regional Police on Thursday following a carjacking in Mississauga caught on camera that’s been viewed over 84,000 times on police social media accounts.

The carjacking happened around 2 p.m. on Sept. 6 when police say the 18-year-old came to the victim’s home in response to an Auto Trader ad selling a 2022 Porsche Cayenne.

Video of the incident shows a South Asian woman who police say is Badshaw approach the home and speak with the victim, saying she wants to take a look “at the Porsche” and is waiting “for her dad.”

But when the woman enters the vehicle she hit the gas in reverse while the man is behind the vehicle, striking the victim who appears to get run over by the vehicle’s tires. Police say the accused had no valid driver’s licence at the time of the theft.

The 18-year-old was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm, theft of a motor vehicle, failure to remain after an accident resulting in bodily harm, Peel police said.

Investigators said the accused is linked to multiple fraud investigations in Peel, and police say Badshaw has been hit with additional charges related to another carjacking and a “suspicious” interaction in Toronto earlier this month.

The first incident happened on Sept. 11 when the Toronto Police Service says a male and female suspect came to a home in the area of Kipling Avenue and Rathburn Road “for a pre-arranged meeting to purchase the victim’s vehicle.”

Much like in the Mississauga theft, police say the suspects entered the vehicle “to inspect the interior and test the engine” when they  started the vehicle and fled the area in the stolen ride.

Then on Sept. 16, police say the same pair of suspects met up with woman at a parking lot near Dufferin Street and Yorkdale Road to purchase a vehcile. But unlike the earlier theft, police say the woman decided to scrap the deal after seeing the female suspect “was acting very nervous.”

Toronto police say the 18-year-old female suspect in the Toronto incidents was arrested and charged while in Peel police custody on Monday.

Police say Badshaw has been charged with theft of motor vehicle, attempt to commit indictable offence, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

The accused was scheduled to make a court appearance in Toronto on Tuesday.

Police are still asking the public to keep an eye out for the additional suspect vehicles used in the Mississauga carjacking, which appear to be a blue and a grey BMW SUV.

Police are also searching for the vehicle stolen in Toronto, described as a black 2021 BMW X6 with Ontario licence plate CPXC183.
