A stolen Lamborghini recovered by York Regional Police on Sept. 12, 2024.

A third suspect is still on the run following a home invasion that saw a Lamborghini stolen at gunpoint and ended with charges for a teenage boy from Brampton.

The break-in happened around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday when three men armed with guns entered a home in the area of Rothbury Road and Gamble Road of Richmond Hill, York Regional Police say.

Police say the suspects smashed a rear glass door to gain entry to the home and footage from a surveillance camera showed the three males approach the home, one of whom was carrying a large rock.

Once inside, the robbers confronted the residents with firearms and fled the home in the victim’s Lamborghini. None of the victims were physically injured, police say.

Investigators then spotted the stolen luxury vehicle around 4:30 a.m. parked along with a white Range Rover that had been stolen just days earlier in Toronto.

Police boxed in the vehicles and say two suspects were taken into custody after attempting to flee from officers.

Dilraj Bal, 19, of Woodstock, and a 16-year-old male from Brampton have both been charged with robbery using restricted or prohibited firearm, disguise with intent, and two counts each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police say Bal was on a probation order at the time of his arrest and the young offender from Brampton was out on bail for previous robbery charges.

Investigators are still searching for the third suspect and say the accused in this case may be responsible for additional offences.
