Victim injured in gunpoint carjacking in Caledon

Police are searching for suspects after a gunpoint carjacking in Caledon last week.

The carjacking happened shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Thursday (July 6) in the area of Blue Cres. in Caledon.

Police say the driver of a Nissan Kick was in the area “to complete a business transaction” when they were met by a man carrying a handgun who demanded money and the car keys.

Three men entered the vehicle and fled the scene at high-speed police say, and the victim suffered minor injuries in the carjacking.

The stolen vehicle is described as a 2021 Nissan Kick with Ontario plate CCBY743. Police say not to approach the vehicle and to call 9-1-1-  immediately if you see the vehicle.

Police are searching for the suspects and are asking anyone with dash cam or home surveillance footage from the area between 10:00 p.m. to 11:40 p.m. to contact investigators. You can also upload images and videos online at bit.ly/43dQEEr.
