Brampton’s annual celebration of South Asian arts, culture and heritage returns this summer.
Garden Square will play host to the Vibrant Brampton Festival next month, promoting the diversity of South Asian art forms by showcasing the work of local Brampton creators and talents from around the world.
This year will mark the seventh-annual Vibrant Brampton event, organized by the non-profit group Arts and Culture Initiative of South Asia (ACISA) with the goal of breaking cultural barriers, bringing all communities from Brampton together to experience the different parts of South Asian Arts and culture.
The full list of performers and events for the two-day festival will be released soon, with over 50 performers will take the stage over the course of the free outdoor extravaganza including Bollywood singer Aditi Singh Sharma, as well as Canadian and Indigenous artists like the Jadoo Entertainment Dance Company, Mudra Dance Academy and Aqua Nibii Waawaaskone.
There will also be food vendors and South Asian merchants for attendees to support local businesses and discover more of what Brampton has to offer, along with kid-friendly activities like face painting, magic shows, and free Bollywood and Salsa dance workshops.
Vibrant Brampton runs on Saturday July 23, and Sunday July 24 at Garden Square.
The festival is also recruiting for vendors and volunteers, and you can find more information by visiting www.VibrantBrampton.ca.
