Vehicle crashes into garage and catches fire badly damaging a Caledon home

A Caledon home is badly damaged after a vehicle crashed into the garage and caught fire.

The vehicle reportedly struck the garage and caught on fire shortly before 8 a.m. today (May 10) in Caledon.

Fortunately, all of the home’s occupants of the home escaped unharmed, OPP said.

The fire spread from the garage to the home on Orsi Road, near Olde Base Line Road and Airport Road, OPP said.

The vehicle is being examined for a mechanical issue.

The fire had been extinguished by 9:40 a.m.
