Update: Vehicle crashes into a bank in Mississauga

Windows were broken after a vehicle crashed into a bank in Mississauga.

An elderly couple drove into the front vestibule of the TD Canada Trust bank at 3120 Argentia Rd. just after noon on Feb. 22, a spokesperson for Peel Regional Police tells insauga.com.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the incident, police said.

Windows were smashed and the front of the bank appeared to be damaged.

TD Canada Trust provided a statement late Friday.

“Yesterday (Feb. 22) around noon, our branch at 3120 Argentia Rd. had the front window damaged in an accidental incident,” the statement reads.

“We were able to have the area cleared safely and re-open the branch that same day. There were no injuries and we want to reassure the public we are open for business and normal bank operations.”
