Snow is in the forecast for parts of southern Ontario for today and tomorrow.
The amount of snow in southern Ontario has been disappointing so far this winter. The blast of cold weather didn’t bring the area much in the way of snow.
But the snow has started to fall in parts of southern Ontario today (Jan. 22) and could total two centimetres, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Up to four centimetres more are in the forecast for tomorrow in Mississauga, and Brampton.
Burlington and Oakville could get up to five centimetres of snow.
And Hamilton has a messy mix of five to 10 centimetres of snow and ice pellets in the forecast for tomorrow.
Travellers may want to check their flight status. Pearson Airport in Mississauga said there could be delays due to weather.
Enjoy the snow while you can, the weather turns warm starting on Wednesday with highs of 6 C and 8 C on Thursday in Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga and Brampton.
In Hamilton, the temperature could reach 9 C on Thursday.
There is also rain expected Wednesday night into Thursday.
The unseasonably warm weather will last until Friday and then temperatures start to drop. Saturday could reach 2 C and Sunday, the temperature drops to 0 C.
Still, the temperature is above normal. For this time in January, the highs are normally around -2 C and lows -10 C.
