A brand new museum featuring interactive illusions and magic opens in Mississauga this weekend.
MiMuseum, located in city centre at 4175 Confederation Parkway, units 4 and 5, celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, June 10.
The all ages museum offers visitors “a unique and immersive experience into the world of magic and illusions,” a spokesperson for MiMuseum says.
There are a variety of exhibits featuring interactive illusions, magic, hands-on education and captivating imagery — perfect for Instagram photos.
“We are thrilled to finally open the doors of MiMuseum and to share our passion for magic and illusions with the world,” the MiMuseum team, a group of young entrepreneurs with experience in entertainment and education, said in a press release.
“Our goal is to inspire and educate visitors of all ages and backgrounds, while also providing a fun and entertaining experience that they will never forget.”
The museum is a fusion of entertainment and education. There are a collection of rooms with installations and “spellbinding imagery,” the website description reads.
“Let your eyes deceive you as you immerse yourself in the cool optical illusions, brain-baffling scenes, and perplexing puzzles that will challenge your perception and leave you in awe,” the description continues.
“Our incredible set of optical illusions will play with your perceptions and show you the mysterious ways of the human mind. Prepare to be hypnotized by the mind-bending wonders that await you at the MiMuseum.”
The MiMuseum team chose Mississauga for the new venture for a few reasons.
“Mississauga is a beautiful city, filled with culture, diversity and artistic talent,” the spokesperson said. “We can’t think of a better place for MiMuseum to call home.”
The museum also has a gift shop, offering visitors the chance to take home a “piece of magic.”
