UPDATE: Two serious crashes reported in same area on Highway 401 west of Milton, Ontario

Update: The injuries to all people from both collisions have been deemed non-life-threatening and non-life-altering, OPP said in an update just before 11 a.m. Clean-up has begun at both scenes and the highway should reopen before noon.

Two serious crashes were reported in the same area on Highway 401 west of Milton, Ontario.
Emergency crews responded to the first crash in the westbound lanes of the highway, west of Highway 6 at Puslinch Friday morning, OPP said in a post on X just before 8 a.m.
The two-vehicle crash involved a car and a transport truck, police said.
One driver went to hospital with serious injuries, police added.
All westbound lanes were closed and traffic was exiting at Highway 6 north.
The second serious crash was in the westbound lanes of Highway 401 near Highway 6 south at Puslinch, police said.
Police said this crash involved two commercial vehicles and a passenger van.
One driver was transported to trauma centre via Ornge air, and paramedics transported another driver to trauma centre.
All westbound lanes of the highway were closed at Guelph Line, OPP said just after 8 a.m.
