Two loaded guns seized during a Brampton traffic stop, three men charged

Three Brampton men face multiple firearm charges after a traffic stop yielded two loaded guns.
Police stopped a driver in the Kennedy Road and Tullamore Court area in Brampton on Oct. 13, said Peel Regional Police in a press release.
The police say they were on patrol “address community concerns of increased criminal activity.”
During the traffic stop police say they found two loaded firearms.
“This is another excellent example of the day to day proactive work our officers engage in to ensure our communities are safe and that we address residents’ concerns of violent crime,” said Deputy Chief Marc Andrews of Community Policing Operations Command.
Three men face charges in connection with the incident.
Gabreal Sadiq, 21, from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm
Romel Daley Rowe, 20, from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
Benjamin Todd, 26, from Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
All three men were held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
