Two-day Filipino festival returns to Mississauga

A two-day Filipino festival returns this weekend in Mississauga.

Philippine Festival Mississauga is on Sept. 14 and 15 in Celebration Square, 300 City Centre Dr.

The event celebrates Filipino food, music, dance, arts and culture. There are vendors, performances and a kids’ village with bouncy castles, face painting, crafts, games and the Raptors 905 Basketball.

There will be cultural dance presentations, live music, interactive segments and prize draws.

Dozens of vendors will offer dishes that the Philippines is known for.

The festival kicks off Saturday at noon and runs until 11 p.m. On Sunday, activities start at 11 a.m. and wrap up at 7 pm.
