Two Brampton women dead after collision with freight train in New Tecumseth

Two Brampton women were killed when the car they were in collided with a freight train near Tottenham in New Tecumseth Thursday night, Nottawasaga OPP say.
The women were among five victims in the vehicle when it was struck by the train around 11 p.m. at the 5th Line crossing, which has working lights but no gate. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The second succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
The other three occupants – a male driver and two other women – were taken to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries.
Names of the victim have not been released.
