Two arrested in home invasion and carjackings in Brampton

Two teens are in custody after a home invasion and two armed carjackings in Brampton Thursday.

Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau laid the charges against an 18-year-old and a 17-year-old after a brief investigation. A third suspect in the attacks is still at large.

Police say three suspects forced their way into a residence near Goreway Drive and Castlemore Road at 2:20 a.m. Thursday and pointed a gun at the residents and demanded car keys. The suspects then fled in two Mercedes Benz sedans owned by the victims. The victims did not suffer any physical injuries.

Less than three hours later, at 5 a.m., three men approached another victim parked in his 2017 Rolls Royce at a parking lot at Airport Road and Queen Street East in Brampton.

The trio brandished a handgun, forced the victim out of his car and fled the scene.

Investigators with Peel Police and Toronto Police later located the stolen vehicle – with two suspects still in it – and made the arrests. Police also recovered a loaded firearm at the scene.

Police determined that the suspects under arrest were responsible for both incidents.

Arian Khorassani, an 18-year-old from Toronto was charged with two counts of robbery with a firearm, five other gun-related offences, two counts of wear disguise with intent and breach of release order.

A 17-year-old was also charged with eight firearm offences, two counts of wear disguise with intent and two counts of fail to comply with sentencing requirements.
