Twitter experienced a worldwide outage July 1

It’s an around-the-world issue as users are forced to hit pause on their thoughts, hashtags and GIFS, on Twitter today as the network is down.
If you woke up and opened the Twitter app (July. 1) and found the following error message, “Something went wrong. Try reloading” — you’re not alone as the social media platform is experiencing a major outage that is reportedly affecting users worldwide.
According to downdetector.com a website that tracks online service disruptions, —a steady rise in reports of users having problems with the app began shortly before 9.a.m. with close to 200 cases.
As of 10:30 a.m., there were 1003 cases logged on the site and that number continues to grow.
The down detector stats indicates that 43 percent of users have issues with the main webpage, 39 percent are are affected by the app through mobile, and other devices, while 18 percent say the Twitter feed is glitching.
Twitter has not yet acknowledged the outage or provided any explanation for the cause of the problem.
It is unknown when the app will be back up and running again.
