Transport truck rollover crash closes highway ramp for hours near Brampton border

A rollover crash on a busy highway on-ramp snarled traffic for hours near the border of Vaughan and Brampton.

The OPP says the single-vehicle collision happened around 11:30 a.m. on Friday when a transport truck was driving westbound on Langstaff Road and headed onto the southbound Highway 427 on-ramp, around five kilometres east of Brampton.

A photo of the crash shared by police shows the truck with a trailer attached rolled onto its passenger side leaking fluids onto the roadway.

The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash, police said.

The crash led police to close the Highway 427 ramp for several hours while clean up was underway.

Police say they’re investigating what led to the rollover.

The highway on-ramp reopened a bit later than originally expected around 4:30 p.m., police said.
