Traffic stop nets four arrests in Mississauga, possible connection to car thefts: police

Four Mississauga men face various weapons and other charges after police pulled over a vehicle late Tuesday night they believe to have been involved in auto thefts across the region.
Peel Regional Police said officers stopped the car a few minutes before midnight near Dundas Street West and Confederation Parkway, a couple of blocks west of Hurontario Street in the Cooksville area of the city.
The car is suspected to have been involved in “various vehicle thefts within Peel,” police said in a news release issued Thursday.
Four men were taken into police custody and later charged.
Police said they also seized various break-in instruments and weapons.
Mansor Aldawdi, 22, Rami Kandil, 29, Alaa-Al-Deen Mohammad, 24, and Husham Mustafa, 23, all of Mississauga, are each charged with:
- possession of break-in instruments
- possessing automobile master key
- possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Additionally, Mustafa is charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation order.
Mohammad is additionally charged with theft of motor vehicle while Kandil is charged with breach of probation order in addition to his other charges.
All four were held for bail hearings in Brampton court.
