A new spot for tacos and Cali-Mex dishes is coming to Mississauga.
Contigo Taco Bar, which currently has one location 1365 Wilson Ave. in North York, plans to open in Mississauga.
Started as a cafe in 2018, under the name Conteago — this place used to offer bubble tea and brunch.
They changed the name to Contigo, which means “together” or “with you” in Spanish, and now have a full menu of Cali-Mex fast-casual dishes, according to their website.
The new location at 6465 Millcreek Dr. in Streetsville is slated to open soon — possibly in January.
The menu includes chicken, pork, beef, carne asada (slow-cooked beef), falafel and fish tacos. Burritos, quesadillas, fiesta bowls and sandwiches are also on the menu.
They have three types of poutine including jerk chicken and pulled pork. And they make empanadas fresh to order.
There is also a delicious-looking tres-leche cake (sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk) on the menu.
But it looks like Contigo is about more than just the food. The North York location holds fun events such as a DJ night, charity poker and an “old fashioned taco eating contest.”
