Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga has been named one of Canada’s “most responsible” companies by Newsweek.

The media organization partnered with data company Statista to release a list titled “Canada’s Most Responsible Companies 2025.”

“In its first year, this list recognizes 150 companies across 13 industries for their commitment to the climate, social welfare and responsible governance,” Newsweek says.

“Selected from Canada’s 700 largest private and public companies, each one received a score out of 100 based on data from over 30 key performance indicators and a corporate social responsibility reputation survey of over 4,000 Canadian consumers.”

Among transportation and logistics companies, Pearson got third place. Its overall score was 66.33 out of 100.

The two companies above it with the transportation and logistics category were CN in second place, with an overall score of 74.03 out of 100, and Canada Post in first place, with 86.75 overall.

Deborah Flint, the president and CEO of Toronto Pearson, said that the results affirm “that we are on the right path toward our vision of net zero carbon emission and making progress on issues of importance to Canadians.”

“We will continue to work at an industry level and with our partners to reduce environmental impact and create positive, lasting impacts for our passengers, partners, and the broader community,” Flint said.
