Pasta is the ultimate comfort food. Whether you’re craving spoonfuls of spaghetti and meatballs or sensational seafood pasta, Brampton has a number of quality Italian restaurants serving up all types of different pasta dishes.

Here are the top 5 pasta places in Brampton:

5. Bucatini

Located on Bovaird Dr. in Brampton, Bucatini is a modern Italian restaurant that boasts an extensive wine program that is part of their recipe for a perfect night out. The staff were very attentive and it didn’t go unnoticed. Although there are plenty of pasta dishes to choose from, if you love seafood then you can’t go wrong with the Linguini di Mare. They did not skimp on the shrimp, mussels AND calamari. They also have a vegetarian menu with lots of non-meat options to choose from.

4. Pomodoro

Pomodoro is a fast and casual restaurant located in a plaza on County Court Blvd. Their menu includes wings, gourmet pizzas, paninis, panzerotti and of course pasta. The pasta options are simple and sort of “create your own.” Kind of like creating your own sub but here you choose your pasta (either fettuccine, spaghetti or penne) and your sauce + you can add a protein and/or mixed vegetables. This is a great place If you like the ability to customize your meal i.e. if you have picky eaters in your family. The alfredo sauce (made from scratch) was delicious!

3. Fanzorelli’s Restaurant & Wine Bar

Fanzorelli’s is a cozy Italian restaurant located on the corner of Queen and George St. in downtown Brampton. Its rustic feel is enough to warm you up on a cold winter day. If you’d like to try something different then you must order the Coconut Curried Gnocchi (pictured). This fusion dish is both flavourful and filling. If you prefer a more classic dish such as Spaghetti & Meatballs, Cannelloni or Spaghetti Carbonara, they offer those too!

2. Antica Osteria Italian Eatery

Antica Osteria is an authentic Italian eatery serving traditional dishes in a sophisticated dining atmosphere. The homemade mushroom ravioli with brown butter sage sauce was simply delicious. Even though it was a few days after Valentine’s Day, the heart-shaped ravioli featured on the Specials menu added an extra pinch of love; it’s a great place for a romantic dinner. The ambiance and charm of this restaurant match the taste and quality of the food served. Be prepared to wait for a table (especially on weekends).

1.  Tonino’s Pizzeria & Panini

Tonino’s is a local go-to spot for Italian cuisine in Brampton. There’s a reason it’s been voted the best Italian cuisine in Brampton numerous times. The taste is as big as the portions and everything is reasonably priced. There are over 20 different kinds of pasta to choose from, making it very hard to decide what to get. The Penne Mediterrania (pictured) was tossed in creamy rosé sauce (the perfect choice when you can’t decide between a red sauce and a white sauce). Beyond pasta, there’s wings, risotto, Italian sandwiches, and more. This a great family restaurant because there is something for everyone.
