It’s hard to find a restaurant that will make the entire fam happy – the little ones included. If you’re looking for a family restaurant that’s not the same Jack’s or Boston Pizza you always go to, you’ve come to the right place.
Here are the top five restaurants in Brampton that will satisfy your family’s needs in terms of eating out.
5) Stacy Lee’s Family Restaurant
Stacey Lee’s may be tiny, but it is mighty! This cozy, understated nook at Queen and McLaughlin is one of the most legendary restaurants in Brampton. Stacey Lee’s thrives by serving up a hearty breakfast (be sure to ask for their shredded hash browns), and you’ll definitely leave full and happy. They boast delicious all-day breakfast – pancakes for dinner might be fun for the kids – plus a senior’s menu for gram and gramps, and comfort food options for the parents like hot sandwiches, steak, and chicken pot pie.
On Steeles and Dixie, you might’ve driven past Wally’s a few times but not given it much of a second look. It might look like a truck stop from the outside, but Wally’s has a cozy interior, a great, varied menu with options for the kids, all day breakfast, and some of the best burgers in the city. Their kids menu includes chicken strips, pasta in alfredo sauce, and grilled cheese, plus souvlaki, deli sandwiches, and pasta and steak entrees for the adults.
3) Joey’s Deli
Joey’s is definitely a family resto – it’s got a ton of options on the menu, large portions, and all day breakfast! This Queen St W resto in downtown Brampton is ideal for a quick and easy breakfast or brunch when you’ve got a bad hankering for eggs or pancakes – all day! They’re open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Friday, and 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and I have one word that describes this place perfectly: options. During the morning, you can grab some cereal, or choose from an all day breakfast option til close, like a breakfast bowl, pancakes, an egg sautee, a breakfast sandwich, a big breakfast with eggs, homefries, toast, and pancakes, eggs benny, omelettes, waffles, pancakes, or even french toast – need I go on? Their food is delicious and their service is on point, too. And check out the icing sugar on their pancakes…together, they’re a winning combo.
Here’s a fun option for the fam – head to an Indian buffet! Brar’s is a veggie restaurant, but they have an abundance of delicious Indian comfort food that’ll satisfy the entire fam – and, the kids (and you!) will have fun choosing their meal from the buffet tables. Samosas, curry, and sweets galore await you and the fam at Brar’s, a flavour experience you won’t want to miss. Visiting Brar’s at Bovaird and the 410 will definitely shake up your typical family meal.
This big-on-portion, big-on-variety resto on Fisherman’s Drive is a tasty establishment known for serving breakfast, brunch and Greek and Italian fare, and a casual restaurant run by friendly servers that’s augmented by a filling and delicious menu. Everything is flavourful and fresh, there’s some vintage decor throughout, and a bunch of booths for the family to get cozy and catch up. Their kids menu includes pancakes, fruit bowls, and chicken strips!
