Brunch and Brampton go together like bacon and eggs! Whether you’re craving the classics i.e. bacon and eggs or something a little different i.e. chicken and waffles or sizzling skillet creations, there are a number of great places to enjoy brunch in Brampton.
Here are the Top 5 Brunch spots in Brampton:
Looking for something sweet and savoury? Satisfy all your taste buds with the Spicy Southern Chicken and Waffles at J. Red & Co Food + Drink. Once you bite into this curious combination, you’ll discover that chicken and waffles were made for each other! The spicy chicken and maple syrup created a well-balanced mixture of flavour that I like to call sweet heat. The crispy onion rings were the cherry on top. The brunch menu (only offered on weekends from 11am to 3pm) has a great mix of classic breakfast items and regular appetizer/lunch options.
4. Flips
For those extra hungry brunch-goers, the portion sizes at Flips are massive and deserve a mention. The plate was the size of the table and list of breakfast items on the menu was even bigger. If you’re looking for the most bang for your buck for brunch in Brampton, Flips is the place to go. The hash browns could make a Top 5 list of their own because they were so crispy and seasoned to perfection (definitely the star of the meal). Be sure to bring your appetite and/or a friend to Flips!
This popular brunch spot enjoyed by many locals is located on Fisherman Drive in Brampton. If you’re looking for a meal that turns heads when it arrives at your table, look no further than the Scrambled Eggs on Skillet. Scrambled eggs are piled high on a bed of soft home fries in a skillet that is topped with cheese and hollandaise sauce. There are 7 different options to choose from (Fresh Garden pictured). This is something you won’t find on any other brunch menu which is exactly why I had to try it! It is reminiscent of a breakfast poutine. Be prepared to wait for a table on the weekend (it’ll be worth it!).
2. Stacy Lee’s Family Restaurant
Located on McLaughlin Rd, Stacy Lee’s is a cozy spot for brunch in Brampton. The Blueberry Waffle was light and fluffy and the blueberry topping was perfectly sweet and bursting with flavour. The welcoming atmosphere brings warmth on a cold winter day. I’m confident that anything ordered off the menu at Stacy Lee’s will be delicious! The hard part will be deciding what to order. It is truly a unique spot worth visiting with family and friends.
Tucked away on Regan Rd in Brampton, AJ’s is a fine establishment that deserves front and centre recognition. A staple on every brunch menu, eggs benedict is not only a classic but a must-try at AJ’s. The Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict was downright delicious! The server suggested well-done hash browns and they were crispy and perfect. This meal is definitely worth going back for and enjoying again.
