Top 5 Asian Late Night Eats in Mississauga

Ah..the late night craving. After a night of clubbing or after a late shinny game, nothing is more satisfying than late night Asian food in Mississauga. Lucky for us we have a few to choose from most of which are located in the 5 and 10 area.
Here are the top 5 Asian late night eats in Mississauga:
5 – Nuri Village
Korean
Nuri Village recently took shape in a plaza by Burnhamthorpe and Central Parkway West, taking over the former Bukhara Grill location. The menu boasts all the Korean specialties like Bugogi, spicy rice cakes and, of course, pork bone soup. The meat on the pork bone was fall-off-the-bone good!
Open until 2am
4 – Pho Ha Noi 54
Vietnamese
Another consistent good Pho joint in the 5/10 area is Pho Ha Noi 54. Nothing rinses out gut-rot better than simmering ox-tail noodle soup. For newbies to Pho may I suggest the traditional Beef noodle soup or Chicken congee. Do not worry, there are tons of rice and noodle dishes to choose from, just go easy on the fish sauce otherwise you will have nothing but the pasties the day after.
Open until 4am
3 – Pho Do Thi
Nothing rinses out gut-rot better than simmering ox-tail noodle soup and it won’t break the bank either. So go ahead and buy that 2nd-final beer at the club. For newbies to Pho may I suggest a 102 which is typically well done beef flank noodle soup. For those interested in something more adventurous try out the Satay Beef noodle soup with egg noodles, a Vietnam’s version of hot and sour soup base. Don’t worry, there are tons of rice and noodle dishes to choose from, just go easy on the fish sauce otherwise you’ll have nothing but the pasties the day after.
Open until 6am
2 – Owl of Minerva
On the southeast corner of Burnhamthorpe and Creditview you will find Owl of Minerva, which features such dishes as the Pork Bone soup. This is a great Korean joint that is hidden unless you or a buddy know about it. There’s no shortage of good Korean joints in Mississauga, but none have as much variety as Owl of Minerva. I have yet to find any place to have kimchi fried rice, stir-fried rice cakes, hand-pulled noodles in soup and two dozen other items on the same menu anywhere else.
Open 24 hours
1 – Tremendous
Yep you guessed it, Tremendous. The name says it all. Only a Chinese person would name a restaurant after an adjective. I remember going to this joint as a kid after Sunday mass for dim sum. I preferred their wonton soup but lately it seems I’ve upgraded my taste buds to Beef Brisket soup w/ egg noodle (only $4.75). What makes this place so tremendous is their 24 hr dim sum. Everyone has their own thoughts as to what good dim sum should be or look like, but I kid you not, their dim sum be damn good son!
Another hit that got me through many a drunken night had to be the General Taos’s Chicken, bone in. Don’t let anyone convince you to get the bone out, white meat crap; you’re there for a reason, to chow down and to scope out the late night scenery.
