Top 10 movies streamed on Netflix Canada in January 2024

If you’re in the mood to kick back and catch the latest film releases but can’t make up your mind, Netflix has you covered with a weekly rundown of the top 10 trending movies available for streaming in Canada and worldwide.

These rankings are determined by the ‘views’ for each title during the previous week (Monday to Sunday).

“Views are calculated as the total hours watched divided by the runtime and are rounded to the nearest 100,000,” explains Netflix on their website.

Moreover, Netflix says they evaluates each film individually. This means that titles like Stranger Things may secure multiple spots in the Top 10 if they have multiple popular releases.

“The total number of weeks a film has spent on the list is also provided, showcasing the dynamic nature of titles moving in and out of the Top 10,” notes Netflix.

For a global perspective, the streaming platform compiles Top 10 lists for nearly 100 countries and territories.
