Time is running out for the winner of a $2.5 million lottery ticket to claim their prize in Toronto.

There are two weeks left to claim the Lotto 6/49 prize from the Aug. 16, 2023 draw, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation said in a press release Friday.

Winning ticket holders have one year from the draw date to claim their prize, OLG said.

The winning numbers for the $2.5 million prize are 2 – 3 – 6 – 7 – 17 – 27 and the ticket was sold in Toronto, the release stated.

Players must match all six numbers to win the jackpot prize.

The prize ownership and eligibility must be confirmed before a prize is paid, OLG said.

If you believe you bought the winning ticket, or perhaps lost it, you must prepared to provide specific details including where and when the ticket was purchased, the release stated.

The ticket holder can call the OLG Customer Care at 1-800-387-0098.

To avoid missing out on a prize, OLG suggests lottery players sign their ticket right after it’s purchased and keep the ticket in a safe and memorable location until draw time.

Players should check the ticket as soon as the draw is complete.

People can also buy tickets online at OLG.ca and receive email notification if they win a prize.

Information about unclaimed tickets can be found on the OLG.ca Unclaimed Tickets page.
