Batten down the hatches as Brampton could be in for a thunderstorm as strong winds are expected to blow through the city.
After a sweltering heatwave hit the city last week, Environment Canada says to expect much cooler temperatures and a fair amount of rain this week in Brampton.
There’s a risk of thunderstorms on Tuesday, with Environment Canada saying rain could start in the afternoon turning into a thunderstorm later in the day.
Temperatures are expected to reach a high of 31º C, and while the wet weather will have the humidex up as high as strong winds gusting between 30 to 50 km/h should bring a bit of reprieve.
Rain is expected to continue into the evening with more thunderstorms and showers stretching into the early morning hours on Wednesday.
Cooler temperatures are expected on Wednesday with a high of 23º C, but Environment Canada says to expect more rain off-and-on again on Thursday and continuing through the weekend.
