Three workers rescued from flooded underground tunnel in Halton Hills

Three workers trapped underground in Halton Hills have been rescused.

According to reports on social media, co-workers of the trapped workers were able to safely evacuate them via a rescue basket prior to the arrival of Halton Hills Fire Department on Halton Police.

The workers were trapped due to heavy flooding in the area of Eighth and Ninth lines, between 5th and 10th lines in Halton Hills.

The initial reports is that no one was seriously injured.
