Three men charged in armed robbery of Mississauga cell phone store

Three men have been charged after an east Mississauga cell phone store was held up by gun-toting culprits late yesterday afternoon (March 28).
Peel Regional Police say three masked men burst into the Dundas St. E./Dixie Rd. area phone shop at about 5:25 p.m. and demanded an employee inside the store hand over a number of items.
The culprits, one of whom was carrying a gun, forced the worker to turn over some goods.
The trio then fled the scene in a light-coloured vehicle, police say.
The employee was not physically injured.
Later last evening, Central Robbery Bureau investigators with Peel police, with help from Hamilton police, arrested three men.
They also seized a loaded handgun, a stolen car and other related stolen property.
Justin Hicks, 20, of Welland, and Kevin Garnett, 23, of Hamilton, are each charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent and possession of property obtained by crime.
Vashon Ward, 19, of Toronto, is charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, possession of property obtained by crime, unauthorized possession of a firearm and knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm.
All three appeared in Brampton court today (March 29).
