Threat against Brampton school under police investigation, arrest made

A teenager in Guelph has been arrested in relation to a social media post indicating a threat to a Brampton school, police say.
Late Tuesday night, Peel Regional Police said that detectives from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating after learning of a post that depicted a threat against a school located in the area of Torbram Road and Central Park Drive.
It is not believed that there is a threat to public safety to any school in Peel Region.
The police determined that the post was created by a person in Guelph, and the person had doctored the post to appear that it was a threat to a Brampton school. After speaking with officers from Guelph Police, they and were advised the person responsible for the threat has since been arrested.

There are two schools near the intersection of Torbram and Central Park, St. Thomas Aquinas Secondary School and Greenbriar Middle School.
