Thousands of students get job placements thanks to IT training Company Pragra, serving Mississauga, Brampton and Ontario

An IT training company in Mississauga known as Pragra is continuing to help thousands of students find work in Mississauga, Brampton, Halton and throughout the GTA.

Located at 110 Matheson Blvd W. near Hurontario, Pragra is known for their “coding bootcamps” which offers IT education, skills training, and recruiting/job placements for newcomers and college graduates looking to enter the field.

They’re one of the top IT training centres in Ontario, with over 10,000 students enrolled so far and over 90% of those students getting job placements. With more than 100 hiring partners, Pragra helps bridge the gap for students via practical learning – such as programs in the field – which gives students hands-on experience that they can potentially translate into a full career.

Pragra’s courses cover a wide range of relevant programs and coding languages, including Java, Salesforce, Microsoft .NET, Amazon Web Services, and many more. They also host workshops that cover unique emerging technologies such as Generative AI, ensuring their students are always fully prepared to enter this constantly evolving workforce.

Pragra goes even further for their students by helping them prepare for interviews, polish up their LinkedIn page, and providing them with all the guidance they need to look their best for potential employers.

One of their biggest initiatives is their Train to Hire (TTH) program, in which Pragra partners directly with tech companies who require specific talents for their projects. Pragra sources and trains candidates, and after six to eight weeks of rigorous bootcamp training, these candidates are deployed to work on the given project.

Their success in helping so many students find work has already earned Pragra major recognition – they were honored as a recipient of the 2023 Great Companies Global Business Award, and more recently made it onto Forbes’ list of Canada’s Best Startup Employers in 2024.

This year, big changes are planned for Pragra as they continue to expand their services. That includes launching shorter programs that are only one to two weeks long, offering a more bite-sized version of their regular courses for students who only want a quick refresher or a taste of what Pragra’s full courses are like.

They also plan to open a new location in New Jersey and Ontario.

In an increasingly digital world, Pragra’s offerings have become more valuable than ever; with new technologies and tools such as AI continuing to shape our lives, more and more jobs are being created in the vast fields of IT and computer science. Pragra’s courses promise to help students achieve their dream job and set them up for long-term success.

Pragra is an international tech startup, originally based in Dallas, Texas. They currently operate in the U.S., Canada, and several other countries including Mexico, Argentina, and India.
