It looks like Mother Nature has a stretch of spring-like warmth and sunshine lined up over the next seven days in southern Ontario.
As of today (Nov. 3), the forecast suggests a bright, sunny day with clouds rolling in at midnight. Daytime temperatures will reach 10 C while evening temperatures will drop to a cool 6 C.
Monday will start cloudy with a chance of rain, though glimpses of sunshine are expected throughout the day. Temperatures will reach a comfortable 17 C, with evening lows staying mild at 13 C.
Last week, Durham Region and Mississauga hit record highs on Halloween. The thermometer reached 22.8 C at Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga, tying a record set in 1971.
A similar unseasonal trend is set to hit on Tuesday, with temperatures soaring to 22 C—making it the warmest day of the week! It will be mostly sunny with cloudy periods, while evening lows will drop to a chilly 10 C.
Wednesday will bring mostly cloudy skies with some sunny breaks and a 40 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures are set to reach 14 C — not exactly warm, but comfortable. By evening, the skies will clear up as the region cools down to 3 C.
It’s going to be a cloud-free Thursday with ample sunshine. Daytime highs will move up to 13 C before clouds settle in by the evening, bringing temperatures down to 4 C.
Friday and Saturday will typically be the same with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will hover around 10 C while evening lows will slip to a chilly 2 C—making it the coolest night out of the week!
It might be a good idea to keep those warm clothes handy and layer up if heading outdoors, as sweater weather makes a return.
