This week’s weather: Cooler temperatures with bouts of rain across southern Ontario

This week’s forecast serves up a mix of crisp autumn air, cloudy skies and scattered showers, setting the tone for classic late-November weather in southern Ontario.
As of today (Nov. 17), residents will wake up to fog, expected to dissipate by late morning. Daytime temperatures will reach a high of 11 C, with light winds potentially picking up to 20 km/h by the afternoon.
By evening, the skies will remain cloudy, bringing a 40 per cent chance of overnight rain. Temperatures will fall to 7 C before midnight, with conditions clearing up as the night progresses.
Monday kicks off with a sunny high of 13 C — the warmest day we’ll see this week! However, don’t get use to the warmth, by nightfall, temperatures will dip just above freezing to 1 C.
Tuesday turns cooler and cloudy, with a daytime high of 9 C. By night, temperatures drop further to 5 C, with a slight 30 per cent chance of drizzle hanging in the air.
On Wednesday, expect mild conditions with a high of 11 C and a 40 per cent chance of showers throughout the day. By evening, temperatures slide down to 2 C, with clouds lingering into the night.
Thursday is shaping up to be the wettest day of the week. A high of 6 C pairs with a 70 per cent chance of rain during the day and evening. Overnight temperatures hold steady at 3 C with showers tapering off by midnight.
As we approach the weekend, Friday offers a cloudy high of 7 C and a 40 per cent chance of rain. The evening remains damp, with temperatures dropping to 2 C.
Saturday stays much the same, with a high of 6 C and another 40 per cent chance of showers. The night cools off slightly, settling around 2 C.
With most of the week anticipated to be soggy, keeping an umbrella and coat nearby while heading out would be a good idea!
