It looks like fall is rolling into southern Ontario right on cue, bringing cloudy skies, rain and chilly evenings—perfect for pulling out those cozy sweaters and layering up for the season.
As of today (Oct. 6), the forecast calls for a mostly cloudy day with strong winds reaching up to 60 km/h, which could lead to thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will range between 19 C and 22 C. By evening, temperatures will cool off to 9 C.
Monday looks like another cloudy day with a few sunny breaks. Temperatures will rise to 17 C and the UV index will climb to a moderate level of 3. Environment Canada advises protecting your skin when the UV index is three or higher, particularly between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Toward evening, skies are expected to remain partly cloudy, bringing a 30 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures will fall to 5 C.
Tuesday will bring a mix of sun and clouds with a 30 per cent chance of rain throughout the day. Daytime highs are expected to reach 17 C, while evening skies will remain cloudy as temperatures dip to 4 C—making it the coldest night compared to the week.
Meteorologists anticipate a predominantly cloudy Wednesday with a 30 per cent chance of rain. Temperatures will reach 11 C before slipping to 5 C in the evening.
Sunshine returns on Thursday, Friday and Saturday with a few cloudy periods. Temperatures will hover between 15 C and 20 C. By evening, temperatures will drop between 5 C and 8 C.
