An opulent Mississauga mansion has seen its list price drop by nearly $10 million in the last five years.

Originally listed for $29,800,000 in October 2019, the price of the mansion at 1343 Blythe Rd. has steadily dropped, according to online real estate websites. The last price drop from $24,500,000 to $20 million came in October 2024.

Much like the luxury home at 2275 Doulton Dr., which finally sold after five years off and on the market, there are very few people who can afford the Blythe Road home.

Also like the Doulton Drive home, the Blythe Road home is a fairly new build. In 2003, a more modest four-bedroom home stood on the large property.

The new, three-storey home sits on a 10-acre estate in the Sheridan community, according to the listing from Sotheby’s International Realty Canada.

The property is “one-of-a-kind”, perched high above the Credit Valley Golf and Country Club and the Credit River and surrounded by nature with visits from deer and rabbits.

The French-inspired manor home boasts 19,622 square feet of finished space on all levels.

There are seven bedrooms, plus one in the basement, and 12 bathrooms. Five of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms.

Features include an outdoor pool, radiant heated floors and an elevator.

The Doulton Drive home saw many more prospective buyers once it was priced at $20 million so perhaps this mansion will also soon be off the market.
