The City of Mississauga is now home to an exciting new indie café, Halo Espresso Bar.

And this café, located at 3024 Hurontario St., has lots to offer.

At Halo, coffee lovers can enjoy, coffee of course, as well as satisfying paninis, lattes, cappuccinos, flat-whites, Americanos, alcohol-free coffee cocktails, natural cold pressed organic juices (not pressed in-house), and eight types of teas.

Halo Espresso Bar was mainly started because of the owner’s passion for coffee.

“We truly believe to have a successful business you have to love what you do, and we certainly do,” Hadrian Orha, the owner of Halo Espresso Bar, says.

“Coffee will always be in high demand, especially in a busy city like Mississauga. So, if that’s the case, we said why not give people whatthey really want…quality coffee.”

Halo Espresso Bar aims to serve high-quality coffee, at all times.

At the café, customers are able to enjoy fresh coffee that is roasted in-house on 5KG capacity roasters that are imported from Turkey. The café is able to prepare coffee for customers in several different ways, however, according to Hadrian, the preferred method is espresso.

The espresso machine that is used at Halo Espresso Bar is one of the latest La Marzocco – a company that sells high quality espresso equipment – models that is known to be the Ferrari of espresso machines.

These machines are built by hand in Florence, Italy and take six months to manufacture.

How’s that for quality coffee?

This nifty café is unlike most others you’ll find in the city. It is one of the very few cafés in Mississauga that is part of the city’s independent coffee market.

“We definitely noticed there was a void that needed to be filled, with respect to quality independently run cafes,” Hadrian says.

“Although there is less third wave coffee shop awareness, we decided it was a perfect opportunity to be one of the first few to enter the independent coffee market in Mississauga.”

The third wave of coffee, according to Hadrian, is a movement to produce high-quality coffee, and to consider coffee as an artisanal food, like wine, as opposed to a commodity.

With a calming and chill-vibe atmosphere, Halo Espresso Bar is the place to be. It is an excellent place to sit, relax, get together with friends, do some work, you name it.

“We wanted to make people feel at home,” Hadrian says.

“The design has a very rustic feel, with hints of nature that promote relaxation and good vibes. We are very proud of the large mural on the wall which represents the coffee belt, which was done by hand done by a local artist.”

This mural that Hadrian mentions, took the artist 40 hours to complete.

If you’re not in the mood to just relax, Halo Espresso Bar also hosts regular game board nights. These nights happen three times a month: every other Sunday, and the last Monday of every month.

This café truly has something for everyone and is definitely adding to the modern feel of the Hurontario area.

Halo Espresso Bar is open Monday to Fridays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
